FamilySearch is the world's largest genealogy database — 100% free, run by the LDS Church. Census records cover 1850–1950 online. Border crossings come from NARA archives at El Paso and Nogales.
What we can verify: Birth/death dates and locations (when documented), migration patterns, occupations, and family structure.
What we can't: Pre-1850 genealogy gets difficult fast — records don't exist or are archived in offices we can't access online. Oral family history is included as-is, but we verify what we can in the archives.
You stay in control. Before we write your book, we show you everything we found. You verify it, correct it, and if something doesn't match your family's story, we change it.
